In the past year I read about some serious interest in running a short, non-profit paramutuel race meet in Ocala during the Breeder Sales. I also recall that to do so would require some changes in the current legislation.
They currently run a one-day non-wagering meet for purses only in the mid-March timeframe.
Does anyone know the current status?
