Like NO on Monday night, but wish the line was at least 3 or 4. Despite Atlanta's home dominance, the spreads often don't reflect it. I recall GB was only +1 at Atlanta a few weeks ago. If the norm is the home team is -3, that means the oddsmakers still think the Saints are better.

By the way, what a couple of awful national TV games in the next couple days. What bright light at the NFL office thought putting Carolina on national TV in Week 16 was a good idea? Everyone knew the Panthers were going to stink this year.

The Arizona-Dallas game is another stupid game. With Warner gone, Arizona was going to be at best, an 8-8 team. Now they are one of the worst teams in football this year.

Who on earth could've imagined the Panthers would be any good? And like you said, without Warner, Arizona looked like a train wreck that was visible last June. Time to get the rocks out of the heads of those at the league office. I think Goddell is spending too much time looking at Favre's pics......will he ever make a ruling?

Right on the money. They are clearly waiting until the season ends so he would not be suspended. If this was Pacman Jones, you would have had a ruling in 2 weeks.

Dallas Cowboys -7.0 At Arizona Cardinals Saturday December 25, 2010 7:30 PM ET
Selection: Arizona Cardinals ATS

Hard to believe the Cowboys would be favored by 7 over anyone. Even if they play well which they seldom do, they'll almost always find a way to lose, even against the worst teams.
They've shocked some good teams into wins on the road, but basically lulled them to sleep. This is a shitty bunch from top to bottom and no one has an excuse for losing to them.

:) In a festive mood :jump: Pickin' the rest of the remaining games, just to see how volume affects the win percentage:

Detroit +3.5
Philly -14 seems huge, but Minn can't have much on the short week
Wash +7
St L -2
Sea +6
Buff +8
Chi -1
Cleve +3.5 Upset Special
Tenn +5
Oak +3
Den +3
GB -3
Cin -7.5
NO +2.5

Some tough ones there. There's still two weeks left for winners to lose and losers to win and pull it all together; or for some separation to continue like it usually does.

BH---Tune in tonight's Eagles/Vikes game. A blizzard is expected today in Philly. At least 12 inches of snow and winds up to 40-60 miles per hour. Should be fun. May make that Bears/Vikes game look like the sunshine bowl. :) The Vikes players must be asking "what did we do to deserve this".

49-43-2 on the season

San Fran +3
Chicago -2 Bears 3rd straight snow game. Think they got the shoe thing right after their secondary was on ice skates against New England
Oakland +3 can see McFadden and Bush combining for 175 rush yards
Hou/Denv OVER 49 scoreboard should be like a pinball machine. Both teams basically have cardboard cutout defenses
Cincinnati +8---remember the last NOTABLE time San Diego went to Cincy? The wind chill was about 40 or 50 below. Think the cold will be a bit of a shock to the Chargers.

I should have my head examined for playing Seattle again. Hasselbeck injures his back on a TD run where he wasn't touched. Whitehurst is brutal.

I hope SL beats them next week.

What's up with Troy Smith acting like a thug on the sideline? I know Singletary can be tough but you can't jaw with your coach like that in the middle of a game. :bang:

Ironically supposedly the final straw for Singletary was the confrontation with Troy Smith on the sideline.

And it looks like Jeff Fisher will lose the power struggle to Vince Young and will likely be out at Tenn.

Not a good season for NFL coaches who were on the 1985 Bears D who had to deal with QBs who were babies.

I was thinking about that after the fact, and how bizarre it was. Usually, a QB jaws with the coach on the sideline. It happens to even the best of coaches/QBs. But for Singletary to walk over to the bench area to jaw with Smith shows he really doesn't understand what he's doing.

Now, Smith is a jerk for acting like a punk. This guy is lucky he's even in the league drawing a paycheck. Singletary should have sent an assistant over to talk with him.

Sanchez was perfect during the highly-scripted phase of the game, and impotent when the game opened up.

elsewhere Tebow was for lack of a better - "awkward" in the highly-scripted phase of his game, but had a few plays during the wide-open phase.

Although they looked great adjusting to the ball with the Jets secondary on deep routes and designed back-shoulder throws, Bears receivers are poor at getting separation on their breaks (although the lack of Hester, Cutler, Martz short passing is puzzling, - does Martz need to use Hester almost like a 3rd down marshal faulk back/slot guy?), Cutler throws a very catchable ball and can put it through any window on the field, but he also tends to wait too long under a blitz. Bad combo with these receivers. Shanahan kind of exposed him when they were re=united earlier this season, and any of the elite coaching staffs will have packages ready for the playoffs. Bet Against
