I recently dumped my landline and ported my number to a smartphone which is working out fine except I get 1-2 spam calls per day.

This one number 6105432302 is apparently responsible and has multiple complaints logged on the web.

In the WSJ the article below explains how some Apps pass on customer specific information without customer permission.

Maybe that's why I never received spam calls until my number was used with apps from a smartphone.

Find out how 'smart' your phone is and block the number.

Obviously the phone is smarter than me, that being said, there are apps to block specific calls or

root your phone and install apps that stop other apps from accessing user specific data.

I was just surprised how quickly my cell number became a ping pong for telemarketers.
