I am sure all the GW skeptics will love the religious right getting frantic over the Green Dragon. It does explain boxcar's mentality and why Sharia Law is the least of our problems. What's next? Burning witches, the iron maiden and Scarlett letters?

Good clip, hcap. The money trail for this video should be interesting, too.

burning witches, iron maidens, scarlett letters? wtf is that about? you contrast make believe boogie men with actual current events and facts.

just another cheap shot at Christians, as if they are the only people who see the fraud behind the wacko environmentalists. between the enviro whackos, sharia warriors, and Christians, the Christians are the least of your worries.

All the horrors you want to attribute to Christians pale in comparison to the evils perpetrated by your atheist / progressive heroes like Stalin, Mao, Hitler, Pot, Saddam etc.

Oh...so you're into money, eh? Well then you should go back and listen to that IPCC scientist who blew the lid off "man made global warming". He confessed that the whole scam now has evolved into an open and blatant call for wealth redistribution to poor nations (which so many of us have know for a long time). Yup, it sure is all about money. Big Gov and the U.N. are very greedy and hungry hogs that want to be fed by perpetuating their Chicken Little fear mongering tactics on the masses. If they get enough of the gullible masses to believe the sky is falling, then they can also get them to believe that their "financial donations" (taxes) is the only way to prevent the sky from colliding with the planet.

'cap is like the Muslims who don't like competing religions. Environmentalism is a religion and its adherents particularly fear Christians due to our Christian world view of nature, which, generally, is not shared by unbelieving conservatives.

There is certainly a correlation between atheism and "progressive" politics. And they sure love those muslims....why is that?

There is certainly a correlation between atheism and "progressive" politics. And they sure love those muslims....why is that?

Two reasons: Their respective political ideologies have much in common. (Islam is a political system dressed in religious garb.) But also, we must never forget the Arab proverb that goes, "The enemy of my enemy is my friend". The Left and Muslims have as a common enemy the Right. The Left will always be more easily duped and conned than the Right. So, the Right poses the greatest threat to the advancement of socialism, environmentalism, the "new world order", globalism, Islam, etc.

The obvious has struck again - conflating the issues. Is trying to maintain the environment, right or wrong? Isn't protection of natural resources important to sustaining our country?

I would dare write, that fear mongering tactics are disproportionate from the so-called right wing hysterics. You are all being manipulated by corporations. In the case of environmental issues, Big Oil is your benefactor.

Pedestal orations that denounce the UN or any discussion about sharing the planet just do not work anymore. Citing a 'kook' theory is a stretch of an argument.

hcap is tapping into his "whine" cellar for the holidays. This a scientific question. Not a religious one. Certainly not a right wing religious one chock full of superstitious beliefs and anti-scientific old geezers who think the earth is 6,000 years old and open "Creation" theme parks.

So although the few scientists who oppose the man made GW consensus may have some points, the religious right should not be part of the public debate. Like teaching creationism on par as "science" with evolution. Stems from a beliefs similar to the earth is flat.

Nor does asking stupid questions that are tantamount to, "how often do you beat your wife"? :bang: :bang: :bang:

No one here is anti-stewardship of the environment. There are many of us, however, who are are anti-radical solutions that would all but throw us back to the stone age. For your info, I was environment-conscious long before Mother Earth worshipers hit the world stage -- long before the religion of Environmentalism was founded.

I would dare write, that fear mongering tactics are disproportionate from the so-called right wing hysterics. You are all being manipulated by corporations. In the case of environmental issues, Big Oil is your benefactor.[/b]

But we're not being manipulated by governments, are we? :bang: :bang: :bang: Tell me this: How do human beings in Big Gov differ so much from those in "Big Oil"? Do they put their pants and skirts on differently? Does one group's nature differ radically from the other's? Explain to me how one group became so much more righteous than the other. When did this miracle tack place? I'm sure you must have it documented somewhere.

[quote]Pedestal orations that denounce the UN or any discussion about sharing the planet just do not work anymore. Citing a 'kook' theory is a stretch of an argument.

Yes, I noticed -- even when the origin of those "orations" are from the other side.

What better way to extort money from the masses via oppressive taxation than than to create the climate of irrational fear (good pun intended) through a whirlwind of false guilt trips (I'm on a roll today :D ). Governments must get the masses to believe that Mother Nature is on the verge of pulling the plug on herself any day now -- unless everyone ponies up. This is a far better Marxist-oriented scam than Madoff's Ponzi Scheme. What Madoff raked in would be peanuts to this scam.

For clarification, it wasn't an endorsement of a position on my part per se, just a useful segue presented itself.

If I could figure how to do the You-Tube embed-thing - anyone can... here's a tutorial:

Go to the YouTube page that displays the video. Copy the part of the URL that follows the 'v=' (ie, v=Mgb5XXms or some random garbage, take the Mgb5XXms part).

Hit reply, hit the You-Tube button up on the top there. If you're like me, Windows has a snit and asks if you want to temporarily allow it to do whatever it does. I give it the green light and then hit the YouTube button again.

Boom - a dialogue box opens up in the left corner asking for some text. Paste in the garbled mess from YouTube and hit OK. Another box pops up - just type in anything that you don't mind being displayed above the YouTube embedding.

If that doesn't work, then I have it backwards and you type in meaningless text first and then the important YouTube garble garbage second. But I think I got it right.

EDITED TO NOTE : Yeah, I have it backwards above. I tested it in another thread, that's how good my memory is now. Meaningless crap first box, YouTube garble second box.

juxtaposed with the melodious uplifting inspirational motif at the close.

Sheeple do prefer lots of company and find it exceedingly difficult to buck the herding instinct, as they tend to get very lonely and afraid once they try to think on their own. Not surprised at your totals. This might have been your best post of the year.
