Are they doing this themselves or partnering with someone?

Interesting. After reading that ad I wonder if CDI took them off the Christmas card list.

I hope they are making plans to run a betting exchange, too.

Will they charge $6.00 a bet?

Isn't it to compete with the TwinSpires/Bris partnership.

The thing that comes to mind for me is, do we want our major news source to be in bed with Magna?

They are in bed with pretty much anyone that will have them, so does it matter?

Xpressbet has no fees and this is just a white label for DRF, rather than a partnership.

Media of nearly every kind don't care about these things anymore. DRF has always been protective of "the industry." It is embedded, to say the least, and doesn't give a s--- about fan-related issues. BloodHorse seems better and perhaps Ray Paulick now deserves more attention for any objectivity that might still exist.

I wonder if they will be offering Formulator past performances for tracks you bet on. I currently use Twin Spires, but I could be enticed to switch ADW's if tempted with Daily Racing Form formulator past performances.

That would be great if they gave us the card for races we wager on. I would switch from twinspires wich I have had no problem with at all just to get the free DRF card.

I would consider it if they did that.

If they are going to compete with twinspires wouldn't you think they would have to? Otherwise, what's the point.

You couldn't tell from watching it today on DRF. On a high banwidth Internet at work, and it's real choppy and cuts out and I have to refresh it continuously. How can anyone enjoy watching?

I am in the process of moving out of state and have been staying at an extended stay for the last 3 weeks until I move Tuesday, less then desirable internet speed. It got so bad, with the old software they were using, you'd go 3 seconds, buffer, 3 seconds, buffer, 3 seconds, buffer.

the system they use now actually loads a significant amount of video before it starts to load, which means less buffy ness.

i will admit today it was not as great as all week but today even was 10x better than it was this time last week.

when i have cable internet, i could care less what they use, i can stream 3 tracks, hrtv live and download at 1mb per second lol and get perfect results. But when you are on sat internet (which is what I am using) these things matter.
