Perfect Drift's show pool was 1/6 of Hawthorne's total pool yesterday. While PD won, the jumpers who plunged on the 1-5 Cole Norman trained Wacky Patty headed for the bridges. A 12-1 shot won and paid $75.80 to show and the 3rd place finisher returned $126.40.

My girlfriend was actually on the LAD horse yesterday but didn't bet him in the show. Kind of bitter sweet. Pays 26 to win and 75 to show. Missed the bridge jumper action altogether. Bummer.

Bridgejumpers in the Place pool for the Lady's Secret got lucky. They had something like 92% of the wagers in the pool and Azeri of course crossed the line 3rd but got bumped up to 2nd due to the original second place finisher fouling the original fourth runner.

I hope the same guy who lost on the Cole Norman horse won with Perfect Drift at 5 cents profit per dollar wagered.

That would give him a 50 percent win rate on the day. I would love to get that.

We all would love to hit 50%, but in general, we want more than 5 cents on the dollar. I just love when that happens though because now they have to hit 20 in a row to get that lost money back.

Has anyone looked at the data of playing against the bridgejumpers? Seems to me that playing a show-all (less the fav) ticket would be profitable. (I seem to remember this being discussed before, though I don't remember any data presented)

I love to bet against bridgejumpers, but I almost never win! It is fun to try though. The last time I scored was when Shake You Down finished 4th in the race that Private Horde won. But I'd hardly call it a big score, I placed two show bets on two of the other horses and received back around $25.00!

I bet Got KoKo to place (no show pool) in case Azeri was third or worse, and I was hoping for a nice payoff until the disqualification when Azeri was moved up for 2nd.

Azeri looked a little lackluster in the post parade like something was bothering her a bit, I'm still astonished that she didn't win. I was sad to hear that she is sick.

I think the Mussina backers were right in line behind the Delaware bridge jumpers.
