You can always count on a true obsessive compulsive personality to focus on things that are not important to the American People or the immediate need in todays light.

If Reid is for something, there's money in it for the government.

restrict initial licenses to casinos ... that have been in business at least five years. Or for himself.

Someday we are going to agree on something.

There is no shot of getting Internet gambling expanded once your party takes over the House in January. That's because your party is a joke.

Have a good day playing the horses over the Internet. :bang:

So now all of a sudden all of us are supposed to become fans of Dirty Harry and Barney Frank because they introduced proposals that are favorable to certain segments of the gambling industry? Sorry, but not buying it, and do not think many on PA will either.

And remember this, too, Blue: These same selective-issue voters are the same ones who, unwittingly, decry the role single-issue lobbyists play in D.C.

Todays needs are jobs, not what a whore master wants but a view in todays light.

All this stupid, moronic tinkering around the edges, inordinate interest in inane, non-essential, low priority issues proves beyond a shadow of the doubt that the left's Stupidity is on Purpose. It's purpose is to distract and give the appearance of meaningful accomplishments, while America continues to burn.

Payback to the Vegas casino's for busing their employees to the polls to vote for Harry. Casino workers easily made for his margin of victory.

Shuffle up and deal.

I agree with the republicans that the federal government should not rely on revenue from gambling. Gambling revenue by players should be tax free.

Now, if casinos and racetracks are taxed then that is a different story, but players should not be taxed. In fact, if online gambling is going to be expanded then players need to benefit -- not just large corporations.

"...three leading Republicans in the House wrote to Reid and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., this week to say they oppose any attempt to legalize Internet gambling during the current legislative session.

They said using online gaming to generate revenue for the federal government would bring social and economic harm to many families.

“Congress should not take advantage of the young, the weak and the vulnerable in the name of new revenues to cover more government spending,” Republican Reps. Spencer Bachus of Alabama, Dave Camp of Michigan and Lamar Smith of Texas said in the letter."

By the way... I read that one column about Harry Reid on dailycaller.com and their website put 648 cookies on my computer!

That will be the last time I ever visit that collection site. There should be a law against that.

By the way again... I found 300 more cookies from dailycaller.com!

That is almost 1,000 cookies this one site placed on my computer! What the hell are they collecting -- my life story?

Maybe my attorney general would be interested in this?

Nice call, Driveway.
That, and anything to avoid addressing the only two issues that matter for the lame ducks - tax cuts and and funding the government.

Dollars to donuts, if the gambling bill passes, it will be filled with BS that no
one knows about or will like when they do.

There is nothing that could ever make Dingy Harry supportable.

It was in the article for all to see.

Casino companies were among Reid’s biggest campaign donors in the last election. MGM Resorts International, through its employees and political action committee, donated $192,000 to his campaign, the most of any single company, according to the Center for Responsive Politics. Meanwhile, employees and the PAC at Harrah’s Entertainment chipped in an additional $83,100. Harrah’s recently changed its name to Caesars Entertainment Corp.

Those cookies aren't collecting anything. They are there to be read later though, which is almost as bad. Not your life story, but your browsing history for sure.

Have a good day playing the horses over the Internet. :bang:Dude, "your party" has been in power since 2006...and in COMPLETE CONTROL SINCE January 2009....WHERE IS ALL THE EXPANDED INTERNET GAMBLING?

This is a serious question that has never gotten a serious answer every time I have asked it of you and anyone stupid enough to bring up this nonsense.

I suppose we have the option of turning cookies off. I need to learn how to allow only certain sites to have cookies -- like my online banking or some other sites that I want to be able to log into easily without having to constantly retype my username and password.

But dailycaller.com putting 1000 cookies on my computer after reading only 1 article is absurd. Talk about pushing the envelop.

Almost all politicians are afraid to touch the internet gambling issues. It's safer to look righteous and oriented toward family values.

The problem is the politicians don't have the balls to do what's right. They won't act until special interests start filling their war chests. Now that casinos finally want a piece of the online action and are willing to pay lobbyists to buy off politicians we are starting to hear chatter.

How long until our friendly Arizona senators start talking about approving online gambling? As soon as they start receiving large campaign donations from special interests is my guess.

Does that sound cynical?

I would suggest that if Harry Reid did not win reelection and had to return to Nevada, Nevadans would be throwing bricks at the slime and not shoes. Nevada needs to return to work too.

It's my understanding that only two states will be included in the internet gambling law. Nev and NJ. Yep, the casinos want this for more revenue and they are depending on ol Harry to get it for them. He's squarely in their back pocket.

Let the left wing clam foul and scream all it wants from sea to shining sea after the lame duck, Harry, Nancy, Charlie, Barney, and the rest of the misfits will have a chance to feel our pain soon.
