FYI: Zenyatta is retired. Isn't that the response one gets if the other filly's name is brought up? Pick out a new target. Do it fast, though. These fancy dancy high beyering young colts don't last long.

Wow. Did someone strike a nerve by alluding to the fact that Brownie Points also beat Ginger Punch the day that Zenyatta won the '08 Apple Blossom?
Are you saying that Brownie Points wasn't a very good racehorse?

Hardly. I was standing at the rail for that race and BP ran a very nice race. I realize that BP has been held up as some sort of poor imitiation of a racehorse because she beat GP, so Zenyatta's performance surely wasn't as good as it actually was.
Haven't you heard? Ginger Punch wasn't herself that day, but after the AB, proceeded to win, I believe three graded stakes by a combined total of 13 + lengths.
The intent of my post, since you missed it, was Zenyatta is retired. She deserves the same consideration as a certain filly whose name will not be mentioned.

Good thing you explained the intent of your post, 'cause I would have missed it, Shirley. In fact, I still don't get it.

Whatever. There was no slight on Zenyatta in either of the first two posts. True to form, in all your pathologic idolatry, you imagined that there was, accused the second poster of slandering the champion mare, and then proceeded to predictably refer to Rachel Alexandra (rather than laud Zenyatta herself)...I suppose in some sort of twisted and ill-conceived retaliation. Nothing new there.
If you really wanted to stick your nose in this thread while maintaining your high degree of anal retention, you could have just "corrected" the second poster by mentioning that Zenyatta did not beat Ginger Punch once, but rather twice (hey--that's the same number of times she was mentioned on Sunday Night Football last weekend!).
Stay tardy, my friends.

You might check to see if Rosetta Stone offers READING COMPREHENSION as one of it's programs. If so, you need to sign up.
Do not, DO NOT pretend you know about Zenyatta. Want to go at it about this mare, bring it on.
This is not the first time The Knight Sky has alluded to the '08 Apple Blossom. If you had taken the time to realize I highlighted HIS post to respond to, maybe you might have figured you might keep your nose out of it.
Alas, no such luck.

Do not, DO NOT pretend you know about Zenyatta.I particularly enjoyed this line of your reply. Images of an overprotective lioness come to mind...with sweet little cub Zenyatta by its side...

To test the waters before starting a thread about Tough Tiz's Sis?
