Great Vid. Reminds me of Google's 20 percent time rule.

Their employees get to work 20% of their time on whatever they want.

Many many google products have come from this program.

Very interesting, from my experience I do believe its true what they claim about incentives working well only for mechanical type of activities.

One thing though, it all sounds exciting when you are talking about cutting edge technology. Apple, Google, Skype, whatever, okay these companies are doing things that aren't boring, that will by their nature cause people to be motivated.

If you're in an old manufacturing world like cutting steel, its hard to envision the transition to the purpose model. Some industries and occupations are simply boring by nature and it's hard to find that motivational spark. A lot of this has to be tailored to the type of business and the size of the company. Also, some people are just not cut out for autonomy and some actually do respond to monetary incentives. So it's never a one size fits all solution.

I like the style of the presentation. I think with the pictures reinforcnig the words like that there will be a high retention level.

Wish I could draw like that! And where do they get those huge white boards?
