I loved that place. That old grandstand gave meaning to the term 'leaky roof circuit'. Nice turf course too. Now River can join Randall Park wherever it is that old racetracks go. Beulah? Pack your bags.

Great location and beautiful track. Also a great place to spend a summer afternoon. Given the size of the investment I'd guess they have a pretty good guess on how the Kasich Administration is going to on the video lottery issue. The good news is that it will keep the track racing. Now if they can just get the purses higher.

Thank God,I got sick of hearing Hanessian cry and run the game into the ground.

Pinnacle is going to develop the 35 acres surrounding it.Speculation is instant gaming room and possibly a hotel.

I hope in a faith in the future move they increase purses so the new management starts out on the right foot.Increase the purses, get more starters, have good racing out of the gate.

54% betting has fallen since 2001.No wonder that is the last totally dominant season I had at RD!!

The schedule (http://www.racing.ohio.gov/pdfs/Track-River.pdf) for next year has fewer days. Only four days a week, and opening a couple weeks later in April.
