What a joke of a ride that was. R3 aqu. Don't know what he was in such a hurry for on the backstretch. He shoulda won easy.

I didn't see it as a "joke of a ride". Dominguez had him third through most of the backstretch behind the 4 & 5. Garcia tried to slow the pace (1/2 in 48,3) and Dominguez had no choice but to move or let the 5 continue the slow pace & possibly open up.
Speightful Affair has shown before that he likes to finish second (7starts..1-3-2) and his only win was when he was running with the pace for the whole mile.
