The Kentucky HRC committee that manages the Ky T-bred Development Fund is feeling shortchanged by the Breeders' Cup.
The Breeders' Cup being at Churchill and the tax break meant the KTDF got $138,000 less for the two Breeders' Cup days than it did on the equivalent two days in 2009 when the Cup was run at Santa Anita in California, according to statistics provided by the Kentucky Horsemen’s Benevolent and Protective Association, which represents owners and trainers.
