Gio Ponti going for Dubai World Cup (2011)

Gio Ponti, the dual Eclipse Award winner of 2009, will remain in training next year as a 6-year-old with his first major objective being the Dubai World Cup on March 26, owner Shane Ryan announced in a press release Tuesday afternoon.

They took Richard's Kid back to Dubai instead of racing in the BC Classic. I wonder if he won't be hooking up with Gio Ponti... could be a very good Dubai World Cup coming up.

Excellent news and hats :ThmbUp: off to his connections...I was thinking because of the surface over there, the World Cup might not be so good...I thought last year's World Cup races were rather a bore...everyone looked the same...horses all bunched up until the final 1/4 mile...hope it's more exciting this time around!
