jason...I placed a bid...funny, but just yesterday I gave another donation to Old Friends...one of the horses there, crap, can't think of which one now:blush:  had his run in shed blown down...so this donation I made yesterday is to help them get him a new one:) ....

in fact, everyone should go to the web site and find the place where you donate just for that run in shed...a very good cause:ThmbUp:

Wow, talk about going over the top. Plenty of people donate to charities. Some don't even need a picture, or to tell others they did it. It really is poor taste to try to make people feel bad about not contributing. Maybe they have, maybe they can't, maybe they prefer others, but it is none of your business.

Thank you, jason. My intention was not to make anyone feel guilty...last time you did this the thread got lots of 'hits', this time, it seemed no one was coming over...guess maybe I used the wrong tactics...my bad:blush:

by the way, jason...Happy Thanksgiving:)

CJ's response was civil.

Disagreement does not automatically equate to incivility.

Not automatically...but may incidently. Thats not the point of this thread. If one wants to help out they may.

Jason,
Just curious, why do you state "WILL SHIP TO THE LOWER 48 STATES ONLY" in your listing?
I doubt you'll statistically get many bids from HI or AK, but why exclude them?

According to the USPS calculator postage cost is the same, and delivery time to major cities in HI or AK is the same as Los Angeles and an extra day to more remote areas.

(UPS costs considerably more to those areas)

Nice photos and a nice thing you're doing.

I never looked at the pricing of USPS for AK or HI so you probably make a valid point. I got burned a few years ago on a package to Alaska. It cost me a fortune. But if you live in AK or HI and want to bid on it, I'll extend free shipping to you as well.

Thanks to all that bid. I have a few more up as Buy it Now items. I will start spreading the love to other equine charities. If there are any other equine charities (i know of Exceller, Rerun and ofcourse Old Friends) that are near and dear to you let me know and I will list them under those charities as well.

Thanks so much jason, for your photos and your generosity. One organization that is close to my heart is 'Our Mims Retirement'...I have a special place in my heart for broodmares.:)

They don't have many mares, and I don't think it's one of the better known facilities...but, you asked and that is the first one I thought of.
If I had the room and the money, I'd have me a herd of old broodmares...there is something really special about them:)
