The Huffington Post reports (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/11/17/soros-tells-progressive-d_n_785022.html) that liberal billionaire George Soros voiced harsh criticism of President Obama during a private meeting with Democratic donors on Tuesday, and came very close to suggesting that financial (http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/253495/soros-disses-obama-andrew-stiles#) support for the president might be better directed elsewhere:

According to multiple sources with knowledge of his remarks, Soros told those in attendance that he is tired of “fighting losing battles but hated even more losing without fighting.”

“We have just lost this election, we need to draw a line,” he said, according to several Democratic sources. “And if this president can’t do what we need, it is time to start looking somewhere else.”

I don't buy it. If THIS President can't do what he needs, then he might as well save his money and hang it up altogether. I can't imagine there can ever be another President EVER who can do what "he needs" better than this one...

I hate it when they offer up direct quotes like that and then claim that it came from "sources".

I always wonder if they have a real good memory, recorder, or if they scribble on a notepad suspiciously.

And what's with the use of "we?" Seems like it should read: “And if this president can’t do what I need, it is time to start looking somewhere else.”
