itunes, like other Apple offerings, sucks.

1. Incredibly high memory usage
2. No plugins
3. No support for additional music formats
4. When talking about huge music libraries, iTunes can't handle them!
5. The interface and the library manager are both way below one's expectations.

This is a damn joke.

Do you know how much money they have lost? The Beatles, and EMI etc?

They missed the boat on this shit so badly. They are so far behind the curve it is amazing. Anybody who really wanted the Beatles, found a way to get it a long time ago. This is one of the biggest mistakes in the history of music. They should have done this long ago.

Recently Capitol-EMI allowed Bob Seger's collection to hit Itunes during the comeback tour he did a few years ago. They put some kind of option clause to pull it if it didn't perform up to standards. After less than a year (and right after the tour ended) they pulled it out again. These guys also have the same issue with Garth Brooks/Kid Rock/Metallica . Metallica threatened to sue them and they capitulated. But they have done nothing but lose money for the artists and their shareholders.

This ship has sailed. Have you seen the price of some CD's in the department stores now? Greatest hits albums from older bands with 20 songs for 6 bucks on sale. Neil Young and others for 9.99 and they can't move them.

Check this one out.......this boxed set was 79 bucks when it came out.

Absolutely right. Rumors that they are changing the whole mess next year. Taking it to "the cloud" and that will also mean that you will be able to hear your music on any device anywhere. If you can log in, you can listen. No more copying multiple copies etc to your various devices. As long as they let me keep a copy somewhere on disk or on a hard drive etc, I am all for it.

Have the engraving read - "I met you in an elevator when I started NEXT and hired Fallon McElligott to do my advertising and am a fool for excluding Flash on the Ipad"
