Just browsing ahead of schedule and found this in the Sept 16, 1964 Harness Horse:

A. J. Foyt, a lad who can apprently drive anything with wheels to victory, turns back his rival of recent years at the Indianapolis Speedway, Parnelli Jones, by a half-length in a special match-race on Hoosier Fuurity Day. Foyt drive Redstone Ranger and Jones was up behind Pokey in the event, clocked in a slow 2:351/5.

A.J. could drive an Amish wagon to a podium finish in the Indy 500

He is pretty good at slapping the crap out of other drivers in victory lane too

That's a great video........I can't find it though.......

Ralph,
I recall the year he drove that turbine car in the Indy 500 and what a media hype it was.

The car DNF'd ;)
