Here is my little tribute to the Public Option, in all of its various forms around the world. A robust public option is the cornerstone of a thriving country and has succeeded everywhere. It behooves the US to emulate these models. Long live the public option!

Did you put this montage together yourself or did you get it from one of your righty blogs. None of these videos was about the Public Option as we have been discussing it here. One of them was a Santa Claus parade, for pete's sake. "Watch out for the elf with the molotov cocktail!!!"
You can do better than that.........Come to think of it, you can't.

thinking about the whole panolpy of public offerings by the big socialist countries that are so revered around here... health, employment, retirement, education, etc. they're all public options no?

when I hear "public option" I think about burning cars, riot police and tear gas. It's the final stage of the public option life cycle. It comes just after bankruptcy and right before the tar and feather stage.

No.

No? Then what is going to prevent the U.S. variety of socialism from failing as they are around the world? Gotta hand it to these self-deceived Marxists: They're persistent and determined. They truly believe they can reinvent Marxism and that their brand will be an improvement over all the other varieties that have been tried.

None of the European demonstrations are about the failure of socialism. They are about ordinary people, through no fault of their own, having to face austerity, tax rises, pay and pension cuts to bail out the bankers etc that have acted so irresponsibly in the West. USA has not even begun to face up to its huge national debt so far and remains in a state of denial and economic ignorance. UK, France, Germany do not even have socialist Governments. US has never had anything like socialism but its star is fading faster that any other country in the West.
