My friends had the Big Drama Triactor and were quite excited to see the payout of $2396.60. Their joy was short lived because they had the misfortune of betting into the Churchill common pool at HANA's 69th ranked (out of 69 North American racetracks) F-Graded Assiniboia Downs and only received $2100.80. My win bets on :1: Big Drama and :5: Blame returned only $11.90 each while the rest of the Planet betting these horses got back $12.40. Apparently they have their own takeout, much greater than the Host's Takeout. If any PA'ers are interested in how or why they calculate their own payouts, or would just like to express their outrage, please contact by e-mail: sgulyas@asdowns.com or phone 204-885-3330 ext 205 Or e-mail: ddunn@asdowns.com or phone 204-885-3330 ext. 203. The kicker is that they practice this larceny 364 days of the year. Thanks, notoutofpounds

That's just terrible, and I feel for you. We recently wrote an article about the folks up in Canada not getting a fair shake on the BC, but it sounds like you got it even worse than the folks in Toronto.

I, for one, will send an email tomorrow.

Live and learn, don't play there next year, play somewhere else.

Hello Seattle, and thanks for your support Charlie. I read your link and I noticed how similar the triactor example you provided was to the Big Drama Triactor in terms of the different payouts. We get short changed 364 days of the year in every simulcast WPS, EX, QU, TRI, SUP, HI5, and Pick 3,4,5,6. For example, on Wednesday November 3 at Remington Park Race 9 the Pick 3 paid $592.40 on track, but ASD only paid out $560.80. Some of their promotions that the horseplayers subsidize are from left field. In the summer during live racing they have a draw to pay some lucky leadfoot's SPEEDING TICKET. Currently, they have a contest to guess the temperature in Edmonton on Grey Cup Sunday. Once again, thanks Charlie and to anyone else that took a moment to send an e-mail to ASD. Takeout mathematics is not their strong suit, so their response should be entertaining.

Same thing coming December 26, only you will not have to travel to Canada to get your pocket picked, just to Arcadia, California.
