I ventured out to my local track to take in Friday's Breeder's Cup card and came away feeling jipped! I had a few nice winners but by the time the track took its little bit extra off the listed Churchill payouts my wallet was a bit lighter than it should have been.

CD 1 - $25.60 Exacta paid only $24.00 (-6.25%)
CD 1 - $36.70 Trifecta paid only $32.60 (-11.17%)
CD 2 - $45.00 Trifecta paid only $40.05 (-11.00%)
CD 6 - $29.20 Win paid only $27.80 (-$4.79%)

Nothing beats a good day at the track but having to pay for the privledge instead of staying home, watching the races on HD and receiving the full pari-mutuels on your wins kinda sucks.

On a positive note, this year's Breeder's Cup was pretty awesome!

Pay $10.00 to get in?

If your choices were 5% off the payout or $10 which would you go for?

Was this the case at all simulcast locations or does it vary by state? I don't recall anything like that at the Meadowlands but I don't usually bet Churchill.
