I know you're right, what made me think there was a carry over was the 20¢ pay out of $108.67 on a pool of $931 ($1 paid $543.35)

If there were 7 winning 20 cent-ers then the take would be 18.3%
If there were 8 winning 20 cent-ers then the take would be 6.6%

No way to get a 15% take out so I assumed a carryover, but in reality there is probably an additional percent takeout in Ontario that they don't mention. Or can one buy a 50 cent ticket?

No $.50 tiks,but,from the back of an Ontario program.

"Horsepeople receive a further 2% on all wagers,except triactor wagering where it is 4%.The Ontario Provinvial Government retains 0.5% on all bets placed in Ontario.The Canadian Government (through a revolving fund cost recovery base) retains 0.8% on all wagers placed in Canada for provision of drug control,photo-finish,video patrol and audit services.

So add the extra 2% + 0.5% + 0.8% = 3.3% onto the 15% takeout,and we get 18.3%,which reduces the $931.00 pool to $760.63,resulting in p/os of $108.66 for $.20,which is pretty close.
