I had no idea CNN was suffering so badly. I thought Anderson Cooper was supposed to be cool. They try to make him look like some sort of urban Marlboro Man on the billboards.

Chris Matthews is at the bottom on the MSNBC bunch? I think maybe even there own audience can only take so much MSNBC, they so they just watch the newest host. I'd like to see 'em matched up by the times they are on. Does Fox still win when you add up the total audience of the non-Fox channels in the same time slot?

This breaks it down if you’re interested.

Astonishing.

What really causes the libs to gnash their teeth are the Beck ratings. Even in the horrendous time slot he's in, he's miles ahead of his nearest competitor at a competing station. That is pretty incredible.

Damn, they really dominate. The beat them all by a decent margin even when the others are all added together. So much for the "splitting the audience" theory...

Does this mean there's a lot more Republicans than Democrats who sit around with nothing better to do than watch television? I know my inlaws fit that profile exactly. They won't leave the house or answer the phone when Beck is on, just like following some TV evangelist from the '80s.

Fox has quite a few democrats and independents watching the channel.

Yes, that is how the data is generally interpreted. It is proven by the fact that football fans are lazy turds that have nothing better to do than watch TV, while those that watch QVC during the same period time are busy at work, mowing the lawn, and helping the elderly cross the street because more people watch football.

Or maybe it means the Republican type that you describe is more likely to be sitting on his ass watching the news while the Democrat is more likely to be sitting on his ass watching The Jersey Shore.

I don't doubt that at all. I'm not much of a TV person at all, mainly because I have to spend so many hours looking at my computer screen.

Out of curiosity, I looked up last week's top 25 tv cable shows; your Jersey Shore cracked the top 10. I don't have MTV, so I've never seen it or know what it is.

And I'm sure all the above shows crush Fox, MSNBC and CNN in the ratings.
Which is a sad commentary.
