Excerpt:

“They went fast but we’re used to that around here,” said Al Stall Jr., who trains both Blame and Apart for Claiborne Farm. “Blame has never worked a bad day in his life, so I never expect anything less than that type of an effort. His mind is right where it needs to be right now, and the best thing about this morning’s work is that he cooled out well and we’ve gotten it out of the way.”

“He looks like he’s getting better if you ask me,” Chavez said. “He’s in good form, as good as you can really ask for. I’m really happy. I can’t get the smile off my face. Except I’m a little sad there, that’s the last time I’m going to be working him.”

there may be a lack of proven dominance, but we've got such a deep field this year. Most of these guys have a case to be made for them if we assume that the race will set up for their particular eligible scenarios. You may say Haynesfield is dangerous loose, and Quality Road is the most talented in his groove, and Lucky combines versatility and talent, but then you can't forget Blame, who seems to be determined to continue grinding...

99.9% of all BC trainers will say "TRAINED GREAT"

Stuff like this doesn't mean a whole lot. Use your own video and paper analysis to come up with selections, don't let a trainer sway you, they're all going to say worked great.

I'm sure there is some underlying point we are missing.

I have a tiny problem with this quote. I think there is a difference in Workout form, and racing form.... maybe I am splitting hairs.

I think the whole story about the workout is that he seems to be back to normal and his last race is probably a throwout.
