Apparently the city of Del Mar tried to pull a fast one and got caught with there hand in the cookie jar. they offered to buy the track and its 350 acres of prime oceanfront property for $120 million. The property is only estimated to be worth between 500 million and a billion dollars. apparently they were going to do the state a favor and take the property off their hands. So much for transparency in government. :D

I was thinking a buck 20 was a little 'light'.

When there are shenanigans and Del Mar in the same sentence, it doesnt' surprise me one bit. Maybe Jenny Craig can buy the track with some of the money she made off the non dq of Twirling Candy.
