NY residents are not allowed to get live video feed from NY tracks via ADWs.

I'm trying to find out if NY residents get NY track live video through the RTN package at DISH. Are there any NY residents here that have RTN and can confirm before I sign up?

Just curious, but why doesn't the dish rep know the answer?

Here's a link to the RTN Schedule Grid.
I've no clue how that may fit in to NY residency restrictions.

http://rtn.tv/schedule/grid.aspx

Explores FTA receivers, which would allow you circumvent any restrictions.

back in the day, the Dish receivers used your billing address to block certain channels....... mlb blackouts and such........not sure if that is the same now.....I would be very wary before I schedule an install

That schedule won't help
I'ts the old RTN schedule, not the DishTV schedule
Rtn on DishTV is covered on channels 9701-9780

Just about every track with few exceptions are available, including a number NOT on the old RTN platform

But I don't know if any regional blackouts apply

FTA doesn't have any regional blackouts ;)

I would trust someone on this forum much more than a DISH CSR.

I never heard of them before, I'll look into it.

I just figured someone on PA had the DISH package and lived in NY and could confirm.

Are you calling me stupid? :)

It has been my experience that companies often make 'mistakes' when they are trying to sell you something. One of the biggest advantages of the Internet is the ability to learn from other people's experiences with a product one is considering. I guess I never understood why there's always one guy who posts something like "Google" as a response to an information request. Isn't PA an information source?

I thought it was a viable idea since calling Dishnet didn't seem to work.

No insult intended.

I get live feeds on NY tracks on Dish, TVG and HRTV.

None taken. I guess I didn't make myself clear- I was looking for independent confirmation of the corporate answer, not the corporate answer.

Thanks. I looked into HRTV but they don't seem to show every race at Yonkers. I'll check on TVG but am leaning towards DISH. How do you like RTN on DISH?
