I heard Jessica is getting married. As for Katie, she's supposedly dating Asmussen's Woodbine assistant.

Definitely Sixteen Candles. Long Duck Dong.

The scene was at the end of the movie when Jake came to the house looking for Samantha. Long was afraid to open the door because Jake had punched him. Jake reminded him that he had grabbed his...sack.

Mr. Gedde Watanabehas had a not unactive career in the cinema (see IMDB page (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0913797/)). How about his riveting performance as a hapless Japanese car company salaryman opposite Michael Keaton in Gung Ho?

Long Duk Dong: Hello? Jeez, this place is so confusing. Okay.
[opens front door, screams and shuts door]
Long Duk Dong: Go away! I call F.I.B. I call police! Go away!
Jake: Open the door.
Long Duk Dong: No way, Jose!
Jake: Open the door.
Long Duk Dong: You beat up my face.
Jake: You grabbed my nuts.
Long Duk Dong: [looks through frosted glass on door] Is that you?
Jake: Yeah, that me.

the best part the was the gong sound after he said you grabbed my nuts

i just listened to her to hear her content. she is alot better than when she was in fair grounds. i guess she is learning from some knowledgeable people like mike welsh and a few good trainers. she is priming herself for a good job with a few more years of experience. she actually sounded alot better than anyone on TVG except for frank lyons, vic stauffer, and tom amos.

frank does know about horses, he is a pinhooker and a former trainer. he picked out castledale. i think he worked for big people in ireland as a kid. no question he knows the racing game.

The racing game is all about how many winners you can pick thru handicapping. As far as former trainers, pinhookers and whatnut, i have no doubt Frank has done well for himself in this game. But, as a person watching TVG, all i care about is his acumen as a handicapper. From what i've seen, he can't really handicap. He doesnt really follow the races day to day hard core, more like Matt Carrothers does. Frank is a good guy, he's funny and has some great stories, but as far as day to day handicapping goes, i'm not sure he's all that great.

one more thing in horse racing game that my mother had a good saying for: "those that tell don't know, and those that know don't tell"

:jump:

I believe her favorite horse is Pyro. On more than occasion while Pyro was running somewhere other than Arlington, she would be sporting the Pyro pin while on the AP paddock show. I only remember this because I thought it odd for an employee of a racetrack to draw attention to a horse running at a competing racetrack. Dooley also made several comments about her favortism for Pyro.
I have yet to see her wear a Giant Oak pin.

I'm curious what several local trainers and commentators who affectionately dubbed Giant Oak-"the Giant Slug"- are now thinking.

Yeah, well I've been saying for a long time the Belmont was a negative key race and this result and that of last weekend just keep shoring that one up.

Not much to get excited about after this race. Morning Line once again hung tough after a pretty quick pace (like the BC Dirt Mile) but couldn't win it. Now he's off to Dubai to run in the Sheikh Mohammed bin Rasheed Maktoum al whatever and we are left with the rest:

I Want Revenge-just ain't what he was and that's a shame. I would like to see him put two races together but where's he gonna run? OP Hcp?

Rule-good horse, but I think he may not run again until the Met Mile or Carter. He probably won't go 9f again in his career.

Square Eddie-bold move by O'neill to ship him cross country on 3 weeks rest off such a long layoff. He ran last...back to Cali? He's no world beater in the older division.

Fly Down-mystified...thought he would run well. Sharp worktab and Zito's go to guy up in Leparoux. Promising pace set up, been in against tough competition, has run good figs off the layoff...and kerplunk.

Giant Oak- I am never right with this horse from a betting standpoint so I won't even offer up an opinion on him. It's obviously wrong.

I sure wish Blame or Lookin At Lucky had stayed in training.

I guess Giant Oak is her favorite horse who is racing now, maybe Pyro is her favorite all TIME horse, either way, she LoOOves her Giant Oak!
