I saw the thread title and didnt realize that this horse was any good. I saw her in the morning about two weeks ago and she kept staring at me. So what did I do....took a photo but she was on the outside rail right in front of me so its a tight shot. I had no clue she was stakes caliber....almost deleted it to make room for the Pletcher trainees. Good thing I didn't.
Anyway...here it is http://www.flickr.com/photos/easygoer/5000843945/

She was an international good thing the first time she ran and won easily despite getting into trouble. Her race today went 2 seconds faster than the colts.
My understanding is she's going to the BC next.

Just read the articles. They used both Turf courses. However 1:45 and change on that course is serious.

The article (NTRA) had it as a 1 1/8....now I see it was a mile and a 16th. Big difference.

The dam, Memories Of Silver, was a monster. Ran 8f in 1:32 and change, 8.5f in 1:40 and change, 9f in 1:45 and change, 9.5f in 1:54 and change.
Had to trade blows with standouts like Maxene, Ryafan, Wandesta, and Windsharp and ship to CA for unofficial championship face-offs, keeping her from winning an Eclipse.

I'm pretty sure that's the understanding of every other sentient being on planet Earth.

It's my understanding, too.
But, I have an understanding.

Unless there's some Euro talent that has Group 1 form in the PP's.

Better than Frankel?
Better than Frankel?
No. Frankel ran a final furlong in 11''3.

How fast did Winter Memories finish up in her maiden victory?
How fast did Winter Memories finish up in her maiden victory?
Very fast. One of the fastest 2yo finishes I've ever seen on the turf (including the colts).

She won't have to worry about Frankel, HE won't be in the Juvenile Fillies Turf.
I don't get the excitement, but I guess we'll see.

Why not? Is he gonna scratch because of the extra weight he has to carry?
