Speaking of big hair, what are some others over the years? With his devoted support of 'BigHaried Bands' PA must be able to rattle-off scores of BH'ed goofs. Although he'll still be hard pressed to make a case for any BH Band.

I bartended at a huge honky tonk type club in college (Baton Rouge...LSU!) and we were the informal home of washed up big hair bands. This was around 1993-1995. Among those who played there were:

Quiet Riot
Loverboy
Warrant
Great White
Foreigner (not quite a hair band but Lou Graham had a huge 'do')

It was often my job to go grocery shopping for their backstage goodies (no, not that kinda goodie. Sure they had that lined up through someone else.) These guys wanted specific items like a certain flavor of yogurt, which only came in the variety pack, so we had to buy a lot and just pull the ones they wanted. Other stuff was pretty normal like towels and bottled water and Jack Daniels.
I did have to wash Great White's clothes...stole a five out of one of their pockets. Ever seen spandex when it isn't being worn? Looks like it would fit a 3yr old....and yes, some spandex pants have pockets (with $ in them!).

Biggest thrill was bringing a case of beer and a bottle of JD onto David Lee Roth's bus (solo tour...Yankee Rose and all that). Well, Dave fit the image I had of him...sitting there in overalls with no shirt, smoking a cigar and drinking something out of a large brandy snifter.

'80-'83 I worked SP (Student Productions) in college. Booked some biggies. We're talkin:

Hall & Oates
Foreigner
Little River Band

They all had odd little requirements. Foreigner wanted a ton of booze complete with a case of Jack. They barely drank any of it. I was smashed on Jack for weeks. I also had a music column in the newspaper. They gave me a Nikon to take some pics for my column. 10 minutes before curtain I was asking people in the audience if they knew how to load film in a Nikon.

Seals & Crofts wanted all kinds of fruit. And then, sliced in a certain fashion. Odd ducks they were. The warm-up band didn't show so their manager put on some mask & a cape and came out and lip synced to 4 songs. It was one of the more awkward moments I've seen. When S&C took the stage they played with big headphones on. They were a bit 'out of touch'.

I had it on good authority that Daryl Hall was a queen. I dated a long-haired blonde that was hotter than Georgia asphalt. I walk in a room and see Hall hittin' on my girlfriend. I was outraged!
