In the latest poll from Franklin and Marshall College, true Conservative Pat Toomey leads progressive Joe Sestak by 10%. Leads by 14% among "likely voters". In the key house race in the 8th district Mike Fitzpatrick leads Democrat Patrick Murphy by the same 10% and the same 14% for "likely voters".

Those numbers were regarded as stunning news in nationally watched races that political handicappers had deemed a toss-up.

Toomey lives in my neighborhood and it looks like he's a shoe in. I'm not familiar with Fitzpatrick but I do know that Murphy is a far left loon who will be a rubber stamp for Obama. Charlie Dent is also up by double digits. The libs are getting desperate here in the Lehigh Valley. My Charlie Dent campaign sign was stolen from my lawn last night as were those of some neighbors but I'll have a new one by tomorrow. I'll also focus my security cameras in the direction of my signs and would love to nail the scumbag who's going around my neighborhood doing what liberals do best - vandalism. A cop friend of mine said not to do anything more drastic than breaking a finger or two if I catch the vermin.

this election is going to have all of the experts stunned and amazed and scratching their heads. even the usual massive voter fraud by the democrats, unions, and acorn types will not be enough this time.

I agree, this is going to be a disaster for the Dems, even here in liberal Pa. I think it will be significantly worse than the polls predict. The good thing, in all the years I've voted, there was really one two true conservatives that I can remember voting for, now because of the Tea Party, I can vote for true conservatives like Toomey.

I don't believe anything until the day after the election

I am glad that the country is moving to the right.

We are a fickle crowd though. I don't see the momentum lasting too long

And if it fizzles (which I also think is likely), we can blame it on the lack of leadership. Someone has rise up through the ashes of the Ruling Class or the socialist elitists will ascend to power again.

The one thing we have going for us, if these conservatives we are electing don't come through and it's politics as usual, they will be out after one term. Ultimately this could destroy the Republican Party, because if these people don't do their jobs, the Tea Party will break out on its own, or back another group. The new contract with Amer., or whatever they're calling it this week, did not go over big with the Tea Party, it was fluff.

The Tea Party will take over the repubs. The RINOs will become extinct, or democrats, same thing.

Think of the Tea Party as term limits.

Wait until Nancy Pelosi shows up in her pleated cheerleader skirt and pom-poms and campaigns for her lapdog Murphy. His numbers will change dramatically.

That already puts him miles ahead of 95% of the Dems and all RINOs.
