I was a UFCW Local #27 member for 15 years. The local I belonged to sold out to the company every three years at contract time. Their goal is to collect union dues (2 hours pay per month) and take care of the company. Their long term goal is to keep their high paying jobs within the Union itself. The upper echelon could give a rat's ass about the rank and file membership.

Damn the UFCW !
