BigM, happy birthday, darlin'. I hope you're having an outstanding one--and too, a safe one so that you live to see many, many, more!!! That sense of humor will carry you another three decades, at least.

( I can't do that kissing smiley face for ya, I've said before she looks like a tart with collegan injections. ) ;)

Mighty 'big' of ya'll. Painted the town last night with the disreputable bunch of hooligans I know. Today was amongst the reputable. Now off to shatter any possibility of becoming an upstanding citizen.

Many thanks, Infidels! (& Grits) ;)

Again, much obliged. Very kind.

Tommy - I never saw that vid but I dig it. That guy playing Boris Y ain't bad. Ya gotta hand it to The Yeltsin, he had style.

ChickAFella - Waltzing Matilda from Small Change brings back mem's of a side business I had years ago. Two locations, one on Redondo Pier the other on Santa Monica Pier. I bought and designed a bunch of life-sized celebrity cut outs that El Touristo's could take their picture with. It was a hoot. Most popular were the kiddies having their pictures taken with the Power Rangers (or at least a cardboard facsimile) I wonder if those kids still have those pictures in photo albums and as adults go back and say - And here I am on Santa Moncia Pier with the Power Rangers :p

I had a house in Playa del Rey, across the channel from Marina del Rey. The Redondo location didn't have storage so I'd have to pile all the 'celebrities' in a LeBaron convertible I had and drive down the strand through Manhattan Beach into Redondo. I'd blast that Small Change album. Imagine the looks I got driving down the strand blaring Waits with 20-some life-sized cardboard celebrities in the back seat.

What a life.

Mack, I grew up in Manhattan Beach and used to fish off of horse shoe pier. I guess it got damaged in a storm some years back.

And when we could get away with it, snorkle off the ocean side of the jetty for crab and octopus (how in the hell harbor patrol was ever going to catch us, I don't know). Occasionally, our family would have dinner in the restuarant there - Castaway's (?). I'm sure it's changed a lot since the last time I was up in that particular area of South Bay.

that's a great image Mack, I can see it like I was there.

The few trips we've made to Hollywood Park we stayed in Manhattan beach, loved the area. Warmed me right up to SoCal, which is saying something for anyone born behind the Redwood Curtain. Them girls, yowza. Humboldt Honeys are nice, but those SoCal girls really knock me out...

Mack,

I envy those two presents thrust upon you by Falkoid. :jump: . They got my atten-HUT. D'oh ... I just remembered forgetting to play the double at Yonkers. (:Slapping ... um ... forehead. Yeah, that's right.)

Were you ever able to get the Bobby Conrad and Tony Danza cutouts to stop chewing on ... themselves ?

Please note: I am excusably tardy to the party ---my Internet access has been decremented from slim to prac'ly nil. I swear my employer did not disbelieve my disavowal of ever visiting isle<underscore>of<underscore>joy<dot><com>. I swear I'm innocent --- innocent, I tell ya. (:Plucking at collar, wiggling head and neck.) All the best, and prepare yer golf game, speaking of Hogan as we were.

Sincerely,

"Fuzzy"
