does it lie east to west or does it run north to south?

same question w/other Tracks on Eastern seaboard...

Why do you ask?

Well if Q.R. has to face 20+ mph headwinds after being "hooked" by Advocation...he'll be "staggering" to the finish line...might get interesting...ala much like R.A.'s race last week...

and of course there are many other races to consider as well!

I'm pretty sure this is in proper orientation.......That is correct. North is the top of the image.
The prevailing wind direction in summer is from the southwest.....on a diagonal from the 7f chute to the top of the stretch.

The prevailing wind is generally from the west in New York State. A southwest component becomes evident in winds during the warmer months while a northwest component is characteristic of the colder one-half of the year. Occasionally, well-developed storm systems moving across the continent or along the Atlantic coast are accompanied by very strong winds, which cause considerable property damage over wide areas of the state. A unique effect of strong cyclonic winds from the southwest is the rise of water to abnormally high levels at the northeastern end of Lake Erie.

What about MM park?MP is oriented NW at the top of the stretch, SE being the CH turn...
Today's winds are expected to be out of the west. SO a crosswind for the runners.
