Library sale. :jump:

5,000 books.

Except, it wasn't a sale.

It was FREE. :)

I took home 3 boxes. I was late. Still, people left Steinbeck and some really good aeronautics and history and classic literature stuff laying around.

One of the best books of the day: Mason & Dixon. Huge hardback, 773 pages, thomas Pynchon's "novelistic" approach about the lifelong partnership and adventures of the British surveyors Charles Mason and Jeremiah Dixon as they travel the world mapping and measuring through an uncharted pre-Revolutionary America of Native Americans, white settlers, taverns and eventually ran the boundary between PA and MD that today we know as the Mason Dixon line. They were total opposites too. Can't wait to read it. Along the way they met Benjamin Franklin, George Washington, and Samuel Johnson.

Other stuff, all too good, too much to write about. I like these events because it causes one to end up reading a book one might never have read. :)
