Today Sept. 1st in Hastings 4th race, a horse named "Five Bold Rings" finished 3rd.

Today's race was a $5,000 maiden claimer.

According to bris, Five Bold Rings had 3 previous starts winning two of them. He won a MSW & an NW2 ALW.

His last race was a NW3 ALW at Kin-Park, Vernon British Columbia. he finished 6th as the favorite.

My question is, why was Five Bold Rings allowed to compete in a maiden race if he already won twice?
