Despite a grade one and a couple other grade twos on the menu today, this is the only one of the lot that has a nice healthy field and should be competitive as well. A real grade two not so much though.....
I'm going with Champ Pegasus here strictly on top. This lightly raced 4yo is coming nicely into form and the distance should be right in his wheelhouse. Further, he should be getting the first run down the stretch.
I would have used Usual Suspect underneath but he ran yesterday, which unfortunately takes some value away from my top pick. Falcon Rock is an exacta player's dream horse with seven seconds out of his thirteen starts. Honestly I hate the rest of the field so going with a 7-1 straight exacta.
