Just a few for Mohawk Tonight...
Race 2
1 Joint Effort 6-1
I believe the 6 who is 2-1 ML is just out of form. A BIG drop in class, and the fact that the mare has beaten only 1 horse in the past 3 races is something to play against. Joint Effort is coming in fresh, being scratched by the judges last out. Is in good form at the moment, and moves up in class some here, but the only horse in here who has shown the ability to leave the gate with decent speed.
Race 5
8 Peach Martini 4-1
In excellent form, and is able to leave at will. Has lost 2 times in this fillies short career, 1 because of interference, and the other being parked at the 1/4 at Flamboro. Will leave today, and hopefully clear with no issues.
Race 7
3 Willbebest 5-1
Improved tremendously last out with Waples for the 1st time. Was shuffled on the rail, and came home well in the stretch. Favorite will be bet hard in this race, so trying to beat the chalk here. Expecting another improvement with the 2nd time Waples angle.
Race 8
4 Mi Amada 5/2
In excellent form, and has shown ability setting the pace, as well as closing from the back. Blows this field away late based on last race, and yet posted good fractions chasing an early lead from the pocket 2 back with Jamieson in the bike at 1/2. Hudon in the bike is a turn-off here, but the "horse" looks best on paper.
