that is my idea of a very good trainer. i am shocked that that horse actually has lassix in him. if he didn't he would probably get him back in for monday. that is what horseracing used to be like before the drugs took hold of the game. congradulations to dick durtrow

Back in april of '05, this horse ran five times in an eleven day period, including three days in a row. He won four of those five races.

Happens a lot in UK as trainers try to beat the rise in the handicap. Look up trainers like Sir Mark Prescott and his horses, he has it fine tuned.

Dutrow has been known to do that with horses in good form. I believe a few years back he ran a horse on back-to-back days at BEL and then MTH.

In Australia I have seen Group 1 SW run twice in a week. It just doesn't happen much in the U.S. any more.

In 1963, trainer Carlos "King of the Fairs" Figueroa ran a horse named Shannon's Hope five time in eight days and won all five of his starts.
Carlos still trains today at Suffolk Downs in Massachusetts.

Yeah, nothing beats running often, like the old days. Harness horses running 3 heats in one day, now that's pretty cool to watch.

In the old days, a horse would arrive by train for a stakes race the morning of, run a published work, and then run in the race later in the afternoon, and repeat the feat again the next week.

It was something when Conquistador Cielo won the Belmont on just 4 days rest from the grueling Met Mile.
