Does anyone use BetAmerica, it looks good from the web site. It doesnt seem to require a credit card. Anyone know a good reason not to open an account there.
Thanks in advance.

I used it for a short while. I actually really liked the betting interface but the rest of the website has some css issues that don't work well in my browser (Chrome). I just logged in to check it out and those issues still exist.

I use twinspires now.

For less than $100 anybody can make a website look great (or a storefront)! Your tread on PA is a great way to check them out!

Thanks for your quick response. I can deal with the browser issues, I am more concerned about it being reputable, and quality of their video feeds. Any more input would be appreciated.

Sweteyjohn, that link was last updated in 2004....doesnt instill a lot of confidence.

I use BetAmerica and twinspires. Twinspires is a much better site overall. But BetAmerica pays back 3% on all your bets at certain tracks. Plus free unlimited video. You can watch 3 tracks at the same time. Deposits and withdraws using your checking account are free at both sites. By far the easiest way to fund your account or get your winnings fast.

Twinspires did away with their weekly Saturday contests awhile back. But Betamerica open up a tournament section. Players create their own tournaments. They just started having $250 guaranteed tournaments twice a week. I can't play in them because I'm in a restricted state. Hopefully these state to state restrictions will be abolished some time in the near future. But a friend of mine plays in them all the time..His screen name over there is mdnspecialist.

I have no affiliation with Lien Games and am not trying to defend them, but maybe there is no need to update that page if the facts are still the same?

Maybe you should call them and talk to them and find out what they have to offer. I'd be interested in hearing what they have to say to you.

BetAmerica's customer service is awful. I made an ACH withdrawal at one point and after 5 days when the money did not show up in my account, I called and was told they had changed their bank and that was causing the delay but they could send me a check or I could wait another week. I asked why the ACH delay wasn't noted where the withdrawals were made and they told me they didn't want anyone to know about it! After I explained that I could take this info viral in a matter of minutes, they agreed to wire my funds and pay the transfer fee. Just amazing that they thought they could hide this info from their customers. I took out all of my money and haven't used them since.

Thanks, Yeah, Egreen that sounds a little sleazy. That's the kind of info I am looking for. I liked that they offered free video, I dont always keep the level of activity that the others require.

They paid me promptly when I requested. The only problem is they don't carry NYRA and no video for Del Mar, but you could bet it.

After all of this I find out California is on their restricted state list, and cannot
wager on horses.

No loss. You wouldn't want to use them anyway.

I think we've all had bad experiences on every site at one time or another...I've had nothing but positive experiences with BetAmerica and quite like their CS team...while they don't always get everything right (who does), I at least feel like I'm a valued customer and that they are trying to assist me in every way possible....I wouldn't say that about some other sites I've been on!

I've also had very positive experiences when making suggested changes/improvements to their site....they not only responded, but thanked me, comp'd me, AND made the changes....I think it would take a miracle for them to do that over at TVG!

I don't understand why the ADW sites don't post much more information on what restrictions apply. They have to track that information anyway, so why not have it posted? Checking out Xpressbet, they have minimal information about state restrictions. Youbet has a page updated as of 06/22/2009, which does not reflect the current restriction of Illinois residents betting on Saratoga and Del Mar. Odd, since they have "USA" and "Illinois" track schedules to choose from. BetAmerica doesn't show that Illinois residents can't bet dogs, KY residents can't bet non-thoroughbreds, etc. Twinspires is kind enough to let me know which tracks I can't bet via a "NW" (no wagering) annotation on the betting menus.

Seems silly not to keep the players informed.

BetAmerica's attempt to hide the fact that there would be delays in processing ACH withdrawals, for whatever reason, was inexcusable, in my opinion. Frankly, I was stunned when the guy told me, "We didn't want anyone to know about it." Hard to believe in this Internet age they they thought they could get away with this.

I imagine all of the ADWs have their issues, but I've never experienced anything like this in customer service in ANY industry. Hell, the offshores are much more upfront about financial transactions than BetAmerica.

That to me is not so bad.

They only paid and agreed to the transaction fees after I threatened to take the situation viral. Prior to that, they told me I would have to wait at least another week.

In anoher thread, I inquired about OnlineRacing.tv which is also associated with Lein Games.

I am curious about the relationships. It appears the North Dakota Association For The Disabled is the charitable beneficiary. Am I correct then that Lein's main role is the infrastructure?

Are BetAmerica and OnlineRacing.tv essentially the same thing, or does anyone else come into play? Are there third parties who own individual URLs and interfaces, and do the marketing?

Most important, who is responsible for controlling the ADW accounts? NDAFTD, Lein Games, or someone who owns the individual sites?

Trackinfo.com has the same appearance as BetAmerica and Onlineracing.tv as well. I think they're all the same outfit as the track selections seem to be exactly the same.

Why don't you try NOT showing up as another tout?
