I can't speak for much pre 1983 because I wasn't following it. But two that come to mind, IMO, are 1984 and 1987. 1984 had Devils Bag, Time For a Change, Dr. Carter, Swale, Gate Dancer, Vanlandingham and others. 1987 had Alysheba, Bet Twice, Lost Code, Cryptoclearance and Java Gold. When I think of the 90s, I really can't think of any one crop that stood out; maybe 1997 with Silver Charm, Touch Gold, Cpt Bodgitt and Free House.
The weakest? 1993 comes to mind. Sea Hero and Prairie Bayou the top 3 YOs? Thats bad. 1999 may have been a weak year also.
