Actor / comedian Brad Hall had a segment on HBOs "Not Necessarily The News" back in the mid / late 1980s called "Sniglets". A sniglet was defined as "any word that's not found in the dictionary, but should be"

Looking under my desk has led me to invent one:

"Cordcophony"

A cordcophony is the result of the tendency for electrical cords, computer lines, Christmas lights, etc. to hopelessly tangle themselves regardless of the amount of effort used to keep them neat and tidy.

I miss him (and the whole cast of Not Necessarily the News) also (although, just for reference, his name is Rich Hall). Here's his Wikipedia page:

Good catch. Brad Hall was on SNL and is married to Julia-Louis Dreyfus (Elaine Benes)

If I remember there was a term "yenkel" which was a reference to the wrap around hair that balding men use to cover the bald spots on the top of the head.

Was it Brad Hall or Rich Hall?

Never mind. Just noticed the bit above.

I went to the Improv in LA back in '86. Rich Hall was the headliner and was really rolling when Robin Williams showed up unexpectedly. After about 3 minutes, Hall said to the crowd, with reverence to Williams, "I can't keep up, I'm going to sit down and watch with the rest of the crowd."
