Early pick 4 starting on race 1

1,3,4,5/ 5,7/ 1,6/ 1,2

After a poor showing in the early pick 4, starting the late pick 4 on race 5:

9/ 4,5/ 3,10/ 4,5,10

No time for real analyses; putting all my eggs in one basket in the 5th with #9 Twotokiss; doesn't look like much speed in here & the 9 can gun or lay just off it.

The 7 wins the 5th race.
I can't play 7% jockeys riding for 0 for 34 trainers.

Will play the pick 3 on race 6:
4,5/ 3,10/ 4,5,10

Race 6:
#4 Vivendi's Verdict moved to a grass stakes after breaking her maiden first start for 30k
#5 Aba Dabbler improved in second start as fav at Penn; worked twice since then

Race 7:
#3 Notamo is a firster by a 12% sire; has been working at Del since December. Ready ???
#10 Self Interest is another firster in the Pletcher barn

Race 8:
#4 Last Empire is turf bred in over-due Sheppard's barn. Won his first at Philly & takes logical step
#5 Wotan comes off two consecutive wins on Delaware's grass; hot trainer/jockey
#10 Blazen ran a close second against similar in his first off a little layoff

Phew !! Vivendi doesn't run a lick & Aba can't get up in time.
So I take one last shot on a bad day that's just gotten worse
Pick 3 starting on race 7:
3,10/ 4,5,10/ 2,3

The 9th race is a nice competive field for 20k claimers
You got Delaware's leading trainer
You got Aristone/Nguyen who combined for a win yesterday with a Philly shipper
You got one of the Dutrow "gang"
One for Jonas Gibson who has 5 winners in 12 starters at Del
And one for 31%er Brad Cox

the horses from charlestown are winning everywhere these days. there was one today in the 9th at deleware that paid $34. 2 horses won on saturday at mountaineer in stakes races against pletcher, assmussen, and all the other big names that dusted those fields. ever since they have resurfaced the track in charlietown those horses have been stepping up. i think it was 9 months ago that they did the work. incidentally i have never seen more gate scratches in my life than in charlestown. you aren't sending them bad horses and getting away with it there. the state vets have zero mercy, and that is the way it should be.
