Tuscan Evening RIP

TVG's Nick Hines reporting that Tuscan Evening suffered a fatal injury at Del Mar this morning (around 930am PT). It appears to have been a heart attack.

What a terrible tragedy.

I'm sure all racing fans offer their sympathy.

What the hell else can happen? I am glad Zenyatta came out of that race O.K. Horses are dying, what the hell is wrong with that place ? Are the dirt and turf screwed up. ? I think that damn place is cursed. The ghost of Montezuma or something haunts the damn place. Saratoga, here I come. Every time, we go to Del Mar, weird things start to happen. What the hell is wrong ?

I just heard this on TVG....supposedly she dropped dead following a wokout a few hours ago. How is it possible that if true, this is not up on DRF.com or Bloodhorse.com yet?

I was doing just great today until I saw the title of this post...now I'm sick to my stomach.
My heart goes out to her connections...I know she was much loved and this has to be a tremendous shock. I am a huge fan of Tuscan Evening, I was anticipating her being crowned the Female Grass Champion...a gorgeous, talented filly.
This is horrible.

Tuscan Evening showed her class today at Arlington.

The Grade 1 Beverly D was won by Eclair de Lune beating Hot Cha Cha in second.

They were 2nd and 3rd to Tuscan Evening in the prep for this.

I so missed Tuscan Evening this day...I just didn't even care much about the race...and one can only imagine how her connections felt...too heartbreaking, too sad.
