1. BLAME - Undefeated, faced strong competition.
2. QUALITY ROAD - Head defeat to BLAME no disgrace, faced strong competition, fast times.
3. LOOKIN AT LUCKY - Only two losses came with truly enormous excuses.

That looks about right - for early August.
However, I see this year's BC Classic as the final table at the WSOP.
The stakes are high......plenty of all-ins.....someone gets all the chips for HOY

My top two have raced in OPEN COMPANY all year, with commendable results.
Maybe I could slide Gio Ponti ahead of Lookin At Lucky, as all his races have been in OPEN COMPANY, as well.
Obviously, the next three months could change everything.

I agree... HOTY might come down to that final furlong at CD.
Reminds me of Trevor's call in 2007: "It's all Curlin in the race of the year for horse of the year!"

I think it's definitely Lucky on top right now, he's won big races this year in convincing fashion.
