Should you really be the one to ask that question? :D
The answer is no, and 6.

Google "Free Past Performances"
Click on the first link that comes up.
Click on Todd Pletcher's name.
Click on Quality Road.
The PPs for the Whitney will then appear.
But no, he hasn't won since the Derby.
2nd Preakness
3rd Belmont
3rd West Virginia Derby
6th Goodwood
9th BC Classic
8th Firecracker

Kinda of, he did win a free t-shirt when he was one of the first 500 to Mountaineer one day.

You'd better explain this, unless you are trying to invite a post from Kismus on what this number line means.

The answer is none, but does it really matter when you win the one race that thousands of owners want to win.
He has banked $2,198,000 so I think he has earned his lifetime supply of carrots.
He was great on that first Saturday in May when it really counted.

Looks like he's going in the Whitney...for better or worse. He'll be up against it, but if there's an upset, MTB might be the one to do it.

His last 3 were bad. Two on polycrap and one on the grass. He may be a different horse when back on dirt. I know he ran good at Woodbine but he may not have liked the CA stuff. ;)

This kind of talk is illustrative of the rampant West Coast anti-dirt bias of this forum. Three Classic winners and you treat them like they're glorified claimers! You wouldn't talk about them like this if they were synthetic runners.

On synthetics and turf, Mine That Bird is probably no better than a high priced claimer.
On dirt though, he's competitive when he has pace to run into. I don't think he'll beat Quality Road. But hopefully he'll run his race, even if his best race is snagging 3rd late perhaps.

Dude, Big Drama opened by a pole, was on fumes by the quarter pole, needed more than 14 seconds to run the final 1/8, got tagged by a 23-1 closer, and Mine that Bird could not gain through the stretch. Not good. Not good at all. Exactly how much pace does he need?????

Lets not focus on the obvious here....MTB is closer to claiming ranks than G1 winner of late......no bias here, just fact.

He figures to run 3rd with this bunch imo, and will have to be at his best to do so, but I have been wrong before. No shock if he runs off the board.

When this Horse won the Kentucky Derby, I told my wife "What a joke, this horse will never win another race!. Well it looks like I'm pretty much right,
His Derby was a fluke, he wasn't the best Horse just had the best trip.
You know what----The same for Super Saver.

Silver Deputy Stakes, Swynford Stakes, Grey Stakes ( Champion 2yo in Canada)KD Winner, Preakness 2nd, Belmont 3rd
Owners are spending fortunes trying to find horses that can do above and if he had wedding tackle those same people would be spending a small fortune sending mares to him at Stud.
Shame lad has lost his way, but he's not first and won't be last.

Interestingly, you can make excuses for him
First after Lay off at MNR
SA surface does not seem to agree with him at all
First of 2010/ Distance/Surface
He's not got the ability to beat Quality Road, but hitting board is not out of question if the above excuses do apply to him.

So it was average compared to his TC races. When you look at his West Virginia race though, he was still in the money and compared to his poor finishes in the Santa Anita races and turf race at Churchill, the WV race was an in the money finish against graded competition, while in those other 3 races he was off the board.
MTB lost by less than 2 lengths in that race. I'm saying, on dirt, he's competitive. I didn't say he's a world beater that should go undefeated, but I believe he belongs in graded competition on dirt.
Of course if he finishes last on Saturday I'd probably change my mind. But he's never finished worse than 4th on dirt.

Dirt
6 runs
1 win - KD
Two 2nds - Preakness, Borderland Derby (First after lay off)
Two 3rds - Belmont, WV Derby (First after Lay off)
One 4th - Sunland
Could the great betting public, be letting this horse slip under radar again.

He's been under Lukas' tutelage for awhile now, so get ready to change your mind.

They were, but if all four met in a race Da' Tara would wire 'em....uhhh maybe.
Can Commendable get into this race?

You guys are comparing Mine that Bird to Giacomo and Jazil - give me a break. His dirt races since the Derby have been ok. The Preakness proved he was the real deal and that the Derby was no fluke. He had a wide trip and still closed impressively on RA and beat Musket Man who is a pretty good horse.

MTB will have to have a pretty strong head wind in order to smell Quality Road's farts on Saturday in the Whitmey. I said on this forum after the Derby that he would not win another graded stakes last year. I qualified it as last year because he was a gelding and had a chance to run in some watered down handicap races this year and next but now I'm thinking that it's time to retire after an embarrasment on Saturday. At least Funny Cide came back to win a watered down graded race when he got older. I don't see it for MTB. He's still eligible for many of the overnight stakes races in NY that are listed for non winners of a stakes race this year.
