Can anyone tell what happens when there is only one winning ticket (base bet is 10 cents), out of the whole Superfecta-pool? Does that ticket get the full amount (after the takeout, of course), or only 10 cents-worth bcoz he didn't play the minimum amount required ($2), to get the full price?

Thanx.

you get the whole pool.........i.e., 40,000 in the pool, 25% take out leaves 30k to pay....because you have the only ticket the payout will be $300,000 at a track that pays $1 supers and $600,000 at a track that pays $2 supers.

You get the whole pool, minus takeout.

HOWEVER, many tracks will report a $1 payoff of $300,000 when there is only $30,000 to be paid out. In other words, they post the payoff AS IF all bets were a minimum of $1.

The logical thing to do, of course, would be to report the payoff for whatever the minimum wager is (ten cents, fifty cents, one dollar, etc.). But then the rebuttal to THAT is that people already get their knickers in a twist over $1 exacta payoff reports vs. $2 exacta payoff reports.

In any case, no matter what their payoffs show, the tracks ain't paying out more than they took in.

yeah ,here's an example of that....http://equibase.com/static/chart/pdf/SAR072810USA8.pdf

In the race above, the total Superfecta pool was $122k
The $2 Superfecta payoff was listed at $303k....
The base bet is a 10 cent wager but Equibase lists NYRA payoffs in the $2 base. The payoff for 10 cent bet was a hair over $15k..It is my assumption there were probably 6 or 7 winning 10 cent wagers

When Superfectas were first invented, i caught an 'all burger' at a small track in the midwest and got back 16 grand for 10 cents. They posted the 2 dollar super price of 320,000.

In superfectas, if you have the only winning ticket, regardless of which type of ticket you buy (dime, $1, $2, etc.), you get the whole pool, minus takeout. So, if the pool is $40,000, as mentioned above and, after the takeout, there is $30,000 left for payouts, you get that $30,000, not $300,000 or $600,000.
