So...You think the award was excessive?

She'll only see 2/3rd's of the money and if she lives an additional 20 years I doubt the remainder will cover all her medical expenses.

The company should have done more to check her background and assure that she could work safely as a driver, argued John Gomez, the lawyer for Shari Novak.

This statement raises a number of questions.

The article says Pizza Hut is based in California, but they are owned by Yum Brands, sponsor of the KY Derby and based in Louisville, KY. In addition to the makers of fine pizza, Yum is also home to delicious eating establishments Taco Bell, Long John Silvers, A&W and Kentucky Fried Chicken.

I wonder how often the people that work at the corporate headquarters are forced to eat that stuff?

A bit of irony in the victims being named Novak and the Yum CEO being named Novak.
