Jack Tatum died today.......... Diabetes and heart attack. He had suffered badly from Diabetes in recent years.

Growing up in Columbus Ohio in the late 60's and thru the 70's I wanted to be Jack Tatum every time I hit the field.

Watching him at Ohio State and then in the NFL ...... I loved the guy! Damn Shame he was only 61

Didn't he have a collision with Earl Campbell on the goal line. If I remember right it was one hell of a hit by both of them.

Yep, it's in the video.

Are you sure your not thinking of Fred Bilitnekoff, the wide out who used all the stick-em.
I was shocked that Jack Tatum died, I'm 53 and that makes me feel older than I should.

I happened to go into a KMart today after work, a really crappy one even by KMart standards, in a terrible area -- to look for a newfangled ultra-cheap Android tablet that surprisingly enough is being released exclusively at Kmart (they didn't have any)...

And found Cliff Branch at a table inside the door "Get Your Raiders Great Cliff Branch Autograph!" with absolutely no one paying him any attention (the sign should have been in spanish).

I thought that was kind of sad, no way that gig pays anything at all.

Jack Tatum is the guy who paralyzed Darryl Stingley of the New England Patriots.

the tablet they talk about there briefly (article here: http://www.engadget.com/2010/07/26/augens-150-android-tablet-hits-kmart-circular-coming-to-store/)

800MHz 7 inch tablet w/ 2.1 on it, at some stores already, but not at most, released this week. 150 bones. Quite crappy it appeared in the one hands on I saw, it has a resistive touchscreen.

I wanted to see if I could buy some early to put on Ebay.
