It was an impressive performance indeed.

If he would have done it on a dirt surface it would have been even more impressive. ;) :) :D

Sweet riding by the Outrider............ I think that lead pony could have probably made the lead in that race............

The acceleration of a working quarter horse is phenomenal, and best appreciated from the saddle.

Great job. Very cool. Outriders and gate crew IMO are racings unsung heros.

Oh my--pony and rider--digging out, making short work of it. Fascinating to watch such quick corralling of the loose horse. Thanks for posting. ;)

I don't think I've ever gotten goosebumps watching an outrider & his pony...but sure got 'em this time...I watched the thing 3 times...absolutley incredible...that pony sure has a turn of foot:ThmbUp: fantastic...
thanks for posting this, andy!!

Some one needs to do a documentary on the gate crews and the outriders and their ponies...they are most often quiet heros and deserve recognition.

Nice job. Do they grab the horse's ear? Just curious, not suggesting it's a bad thing.

Born2Ride: Just to clarify, are you saying that the outrider's horse is a 6 yr. old TB that never broke his Maiden?

If yes let me be the first to suggest this boy should go into a 4.5er at CT. If we can pull this off let's keep it amongst ourselves. ;)

The outrider should have continued on with the race, he would have probably won it :D . What an excellent job by both horse and rider!

Yeah, Clyde (Ada Storm) is a retired TB who never broke his maiden.
