Wine Police by Speightstown 103.36 for 5 1/2 furlongs .. distance might be a problem.

Maybesomaybenot by Sunday Break 110.97 for 6 furlongs .. won the Sanford but the favorite Bail Out The Cat was eliminated at the start.

Kelly John Breen trainee Nacho Saint took second and figures to love the extended sprints.

He comes out of the same Monmouth MSW race as Vengeful Wildcat
who broke his maiden and came back to tally in the Tyro stakes last Saturday.
The Ben Perkins jr. trainee is out of the stakes caliber Wild Snitch.

Not sure of the spelling but I heard at CD a horse named Katheros was very impressive winning by open lengths. I hope to see him at SAratoga.

Also working for Asmussen on Monday was the unbeaten 2-year-old Kantharos, who breezed five furlongs in 1:02.45 seconds.
Purchased in March for $250,000 by Jackson's Stonestreet Stable, Kantharos romped in two starts at Churchill Downs, including a win in the Bashford Manor by better than nine lengths.

"He ran brilliantly," said Asmussen.

Asmussen said he is looking at three spots for Kantharos, all at Saratoga: the Sanford (July 25), Saratoga Special (Aug. 16), and Hopeful (Sept. 6).

i still have a crush on WELL CONNECTED DYNAFORMER colt x INDY GROOVE(AP INDY mare)

bred to run far on either surface
beat up on some precociously bred well meant maidens @ 5f
seems to have come out of the race healthy enough. These days it seems you have to be switched to a high% trainer to reach elite status and I have no idea if this one will blossom, but appears promising. Training on @ SPA(perhaps for sale??)

Got a tweet earlier today from @DerbyContenders that Wine Police earned a 101 Bris speed fig, as did Moonbie, who who at Arlington last week. There were several others listed (all from last week) that were quite high.

Ever just get connected to a horse on an emotional level? That's how I feel about Lou Brissie. Really enjoyed his two early races and would now like to see him move forward off the Sanford effort. Believe he has a future.

Eskendereya and Big Brown made their first starts on the Saratoga turf.

Your statement pre-supposes an inherent weakness in turf racing as compared to dirt racing. How can you explain the recent success in triple crown races of horses beginning their career on the turf?

Valiant Passion filly by Tale of The Cat wins by about 10 after being steadied several times while in tight quarters. Off at 30-1. IMO one of the best performances by a 2yr old at Saratoga this year.

I'm sure some of you have seen this horseracingnation 'power rankings' of two y.o's so far. #1 is Kantharos by good point margin according to their ranking system, which I would actually agree with at this time. #2 is Dutrow's Boys at Tosconova after a monster MSW race at Belmont. #3 is JP Gusto after a relatively impressive win in the Best Pal. #4 is another Asmussen Wine Police after his dominant MSW race at Saratoga. And rounding out the top 5 is Z Appeal out of Ghostzapper, after an impressive win on the turf at the Chenery at Colonial.
