Providing picks and being successful at it is fun and can be a supplemental income to their own betting I would think. It's also an "ego" thing.

Looks like they are doing it right. They give you a chance to try them out. They provide results and if you like what you see, you might want to pay for it later.

Not everyone enjoys handicapping, but they like to bet.
